we have all been horrified by the recent stories of 17 month old amy howson and baby p. both toddlers tortured and killed by parents and family friends. more worryingly is the failure of social services, the police and doctors, people with power to protect children like these. it is too late to help these two tiny angels, but you could help prevent other innocent babies facing abuse, torture and eventual death by signing on line petitions. these will hopefully bring dismissal to health and social workers who were extremely negligent in these cases, and bring in new guidelines to make sure these cases will never be repeated. if anyone out of the uk reads this topic and is unaware of these recent stories, you can still help a nation in shock at these attrocities by signing the petition at www.thesun.co.uk thank you

my opinion is this, the social services involved should face manslaughter by neglect trial. the doctor who failed to detect an active toddlers broken spine and being paralised should be struck off. these people are a disgrace to their profession and should never be in a position to work in their fields again.
